Glass-Filled Nylon Part with Molded-In Metal Inserts
This PA+GF bezel combines a glass-fibre reinforced polyamide body with brass threaded inserts and a moulded-in locating post, produced in a single injection-moulding cycle. The ribbed rear structure carries load without a metal bracket, and the textured front face is finished as moulded - no secondary painting.
What this part demonstrates
- Insert moulding: metal inserts positioned in-tool and encapsulated without flash or sink marks
- Glass-fibre processing: PA+GF runs on hardened tooling with controlled melt and mould temperature to protect fibre length
- Dimensional stability: rib layout and wall sections balanced to hold flatness across the recessed pocket
- Tooling range: 50T to 3000T presses, single-cavity to multi-cavity family tools
