Interview
We produce EV and power electronics housings, with mould design, tool building, molding and dimensional inspection all under one roof. Every part ships with full traceability, and PPAP level 3 documentation, IMDS entries and annual layout inspections are available for series programmes.
Before any steel is cut we review the drawing for draft, wall thickness, gate location and shrink, and run a mould flow simulation on the actual geometry. That is what keeps a housing flat, a bracket dimensionally stable across a glass-filled material, and an appearance part free of weld lines across the visible face.
Material is selected to your drawing. The grades listed are the ones we run most often for this type of part; we confirm the choice at DFM rather than assuming it.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Application | EV and power electronics housings |
| Material | Selected to your drawing. We run PP, PP+GF30, PA66, PA66+GF30, POM, ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PMMA, PBT for this kind of part and confirm the grade with you at DFM. |
| Wall thickness | 0.8–4.0 mm typical; glass-filled grades run thicker to control sink |
| Tolerance | ±0.05 mm typical, ±0.01 mm on precision features |
| Draft angle | 0.5–1° on vertical faces, more on textured surfaces |
| Surface finish | SPI standard texture, high gloss, Class-A paint ready |
| Mould life | 200,000–500,000 shots on pre-hardened steel, 500,000–1,000,000 shots on hardened inserts |
| Tooling lead time | 4–6 weeks for a production tool; T0 in 3–5 days |
| Press range | 50T–3000T |
| Documentation | PPAP L3, IMDS, FAI, CoC and material traceability |
| Certification | ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 13485:2016, AS9100 Rev D |
