Custom Stamped Centrifugal Blower Wheel

This is a forward curved multi wing blower wheel built from stamped sheet metal: the blades are formed in a progressive die, the outer ring is rolled and pierced, and the ring, blades and centre hub are riveted together. Compared with welded wheels the riveted construction keeps the blade pitch consistent, avoids heat distortion at the blade root and can be rebalanced after assembly.

The wheel in the photo has a riveted outer ring with formed dimples, a drawn centre hub with five bolt holes and a large shaft bore. Typical uses are air conditioner indoor units, fresh air and ERV units, dehumidifiers, dryers, air curtains, range hoods and small industrial blowers.

  • Blade pitch and ring roundness checked on first article
  • Dynamic balancing to G6.3, residual unbalance reported per wheel
  • Coating thickness and salt spray tested when a finish is specified
