Product Overview
These parts are produced additively, so there is no tooling to pay for and no minimum order quantity. That makes this route the right one when you need a functional sample in days, a bridge batch while the production tool is cut, or a geometry that would be expensive to machine conventionally.
We run SLS nylon and SLA resin additive manufacturing. Because the part is built layer by layer, internal features, conformal cooling channels and organic shapes that a cutter cannot reach are straightforward to produce.
Materials
- SLS nylon PA12 and PA12-GF, plus SLA resin
- SLA resin for visual and master patterns
- TPU and rubber-like flexible parts on request
When to choose additive
- Design verification and functional testing before committing to a production tool
- Bridge production of 1 to 500 pieces while the hard tool is in cut
- Conformal cooling channels and geometries that cannot be machined
- One-off and low-volume spares where tooling cost cannot be justified
Process
- File review, build orientation and support strategy agreed before printing
- Printed, cleaned and post-cured or sintered
- Support removal, bead blasting and dyeing or metallising as required
- Dimensional check on the CMM or profile projector before dispatch
Material is selected to your drawing. The grades listed are the ones we run most often for this type of part; we confirm the choice at DFM rather than assuming it.
